How does the Video Suite work offline?

ZenVort uses a compiled version of FFmpeg that runs entirely within WebAssembly (WASM). When you drop a video into the browser, the app loads it directly into your device's RAM. It never communicates with a remote server. This guarantees that your private videos cannot be intercepted or stored by third parties.

WEBM vs MKV: WebM is highly optimized for web streaming and supports transparent backgrounds (Alpha channels) when using VP8/VP9 encoders. MKV is an open-source container that is slightly heavier but excellent for preserving high-quality archival footage. Both are open standards free of corporate licensing fees.

Why use OPUS or FLAC instead of MP3?

The Audio Suite leverages native encoding libraries to compress files directly on your hardware. While MP3 is universally recognized, it is an outdated lossy format. OPUS, an open-source format, provides significantly better audio fidelity at much lower bitrates, making it ideal for web streaming. FLAC provides true lossless preservation, meaning your audio data is mathematically identical to the original studio file.

What are Raw Binary & Netpbm Image Formats?

Unlike modern JPG or PNG files that use complex mathematical compression algorithms, our Netpbm suite (PPM, PGM, PBM) generates raw, uncompressed binary arrays directly via native JavaScript. PBM generates 1-bit black and white data, perfect for retro terminal displays, while XPM writes actual C-code arrays that developers can compile directly into Linux software interfaces.

How does the PDF Suite read files without a server?

PDF manipulation typically requires heavy backend servers. ZenVort utilizes a powerful, offline JavaScript engine called `pdf-lib` to deconstruct the binary byte-stream of your PDF directly in the browser's memory. This allows you to split, merge, and rotate pages instantly. Because no data is transmitted over the internet, your sensitive documents remain strictly confidential.
